RE: Desktop idea



So make the desktop be a file with embed bonobo objects into it....
Interesting... Make the desktop not a directory but a file. Also make a
directory bonobo object for your desktop files. Then you could have more
then one directory on the desktop at once... This would be a big deviation
from the mac/microsoft way of looking at the desktop. It is a very good
idea. This would have to wait till bonobo is completed but would be great
when done. Since the desktop would be raticly different then the one that is
in gmc, it could be written as a seperate program and then the gmc desktop
code could be pulled and the ongoing conversations about doing that would
drop.
