KDE here I come (can't fix Gnome problem)



I've been trying to fix this problem in gnome, but to no avail.  If it
remains unsolvable, I'm gonna have to uninstall gnome and install KDE.  If
anyone can help resolve this, I'd rather stick with gnome.  Here is the
history of the problem.
