Any ORB that has CORBA 2.2 C bindings could be retrofitted for GNOME
pretty easily. Mico doesn't have C support, so you probably wouldn't be
able to use it for talking to the main GNOME services very easily
(although you could certainly use it in a program that happened to use
GNOME as well).

OTOH, if there are problems with ORBit, I'd like to know about them :)
