Problem with applets

Hi,

    On a rh6.0 system, I have installed the updated RPMS from
    the latest rawhide. (also devel)

    But the applets of the programs I have compiled after the 
    update, doesn't work when I choose them from the applet
    menu, but work fine when I run them in the terminal

    FYI: I always run ./configure with the --prefix=/usr prefix
