session managment window maker

Hello,

I am running the latest Gnome, coupled with Window Maker. It seems that
Window Maker's session management has been interfering with Gnome's, and here
are my symptoms:

GMC is started by Gnome, since it is a Gnome-aware application. However, WM
has an icon for it. So when I login, Gnome attempt to restart the
application, but because WM has an icon for it it gets started twice. Has
anyone else, who has experienced this problem, found a way to solve it? Is it
as simple as disable Gnome session management?

I appreciate any suggestions.
