You can have items insured when sent through places like FedX and UPS.
Even so, this sounds pretty unrealistic. My grandmother used to live in
Tipton, Oklahoma, and there wasn't shit out there but we had no problem
sending stuff back and forth. My girlfriend is from Mexico, and I never
had problems shipping things between there and Texas. It seems really hard
to believe there would be anywhere in the continental US that's harder to
ship things to than somewhere in Mexico (which really doesn't have all
that great of a postal system.)
