gmc dndrop ??

I am still trying to get gmc (4.5.6) to run on my RH5.2 linuxbox.
Still, I can run it (almost) OK but if when I do a drag and drop of
a directory on my desktop, it actually COPIES recusively the whole directory
under ~/desktop !! Is that a bug ... or a feature ???
