GMC & Permissions

Hi,

I think that my problem has to do with permission's being messed in my
home directory...

Here's the problem...

When I run gmc as myself (not root),  everything works fine except when
I right click
and choose 'properties' on anything (file or folder) in my home
directory. GMC crashes with a
seg fault.

This only happens with my home directory folder or anything inside it.

I can examine and change the properties of any other file on my system.

What makes this even more interesting is that if I run GMC as root, I
can
look at the properties of any file or folder anywhere.

Hmmm???

(P.S. GMC 4.5.21 and I will send more info if this hasn't been discussed
before...)
