Gnome and network

Hello,
My previous post "Gnome without a network" was a bit hasty. As many of you
already know, Gnome and E work fine without a network interface activated.
My problem seems to have been caused by the naming scheme I used for the
computer.
I fixed it and things work fine. Sorry that I posted so quickly before...
