The following just built on Solaris2.6, and were run on Solaris8_alpha without
problem.
This is the first time many of these could be built and installed with a simple:
./configure; make; make install
and without any other intervention - now they all do =O)
gtk+-1.1.15/glib-1.1.15
gnome-libs-0.99.7/gnome-core-0.99.7/gnome-games-0.99.7
gnome-utils-0.99.6
mc-4.5.12
These were the latest versions I could find.
I can't say much about bugs. Nothing appears wrong that I can't blame directly
on trying to run them on Solaris when they're specifically designed for Linux.
They exit fairly cleanly, and don't crash the Panel (anymore ;O).
Once the docs for porting libGtop to other platforms becomes visable to me, I'll
have a go at doing that, and maybe/hopefully that'll fix those issues.
Thanks - this release looks like a 1.0 candidate from all the way over here =O)
-------My opinion - Not sane, intelligent or necessarily useful-------
