Gnome libs installation woes

Well, this seems to be the hot topic as of late, so I'll throw in my
two cents worth.

gnome-libs compiles like a dream, truly a beauty to behold. 
Nonetheless, upon typing 'make install' I am inevitably greeted by the
following error:

gtkdoc-fixxref --module=gnome --html-dir=/usr/local/share/gnome/html
make[3]: gtkdoc-fixxref: Command not found
make[3]: *** [install-data-local] Error 127
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/srcs/cvs/gnome-libs/devel-docs/gnome'
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/srcs/cvs/gnome-libs/devel-docs/gnome'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/srcs/cvs/gnome-libs/devel-docs'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Any insights?  Help is appreciated.
