gnome-network 0.99.5

I generated with difficulty libxml 0.99.5 with egcs 1.1.1 on the
following platforms: 

sparc-sun-solaris2.6
i686-pc-linux-gnu
alpha-dec-osf4.0b
hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20
powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0
mips-sgi-irix6.5

- It is OK for i686-pc-linux-gnu only.

- On all platforms, I could compile gnometalk. On sparc-sun-solaris2.6
  and hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20, <protocols/talkd.h> could not be included
  and I copied the version of IRIX 6.5 onto these architectures and it
  worked.

- gnome-ppp is not compilable on any platforms other than
  i686-pc-linux-gnu. gnome-ppp/gnome-ppp-chat/gnome-ppp-chat.c does
  not compile on all platforms except i686-pc-linux-gnu and
  powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0. gnome-ppp/libgnome_ppp/modem.c does not
  compile on powerpc-ibm-aix4.3.2.0.
  Error seems to be difficult to overcome... Is this intended for
  Linux only ? Is it worth while trying to port sources ?
