"inappropriate ioctl for device": is that a gnome error?

When I start a gnome session, these errors appear on the console. What
are they?
xscreensaver: you can re-enable it with "xset s on".
:Could not get stats on file!!!: No such file or directory
subshell.c: couldn't get terminal settings: Inappropriate ioctl for
device
