Re: gdm exiting w/ "Fatal X Error"... help?



Airgg! Found the problem.

What 'xfs' was trying to tell us is that it couldn't write files into /tmp,
because /tmp had been re-created with the wrong permissions. If an 'xfs'
friendly hacker happens to read this, it would be really cool if a patch
popped up that gives better hints about what's going on. ;-)
