binary compatability prob?

Hi all,

I upgraded my copy of control-center yesterday from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 (first
removing 1.0.5 completely), and now it fails to work.

The control center itself loads, but all the capplets exit immediately,
leaving "unable to reach control center" on the console.

Everything else on my system is fine;
My system is... redhat 6, gnome-libs 1.0.12, gnome-core 1.0.9, orbit 0.4.92.

I'm baffled why it doesn't work on mine.
I'm guessing others aren't having this problem as I've not seen any similar
posts...
