This is one of the features I liked about kfm.. although I believe
that they implimented it poorly (they did it via a config file in
the ~/.kde directory), 
a .icon file or symbolic link would be much more effective.  Also, 
if this is implimented in GMC (i hope it is).. possibly this could be
a collition with the KDE crew to have a standard for a change!
