Compiling Gnome with GCC-2.95 on Solaris

Hi,

Since this was being discussed, I thought I'd mention this. I just installed
GCC-2.95 on a Solaris 2.6 box, and used it to build many of the recent tarballs
(ORBit, libxml, gnome-lib, -core, -utils, -pim, -media) without any need to
touch any source.

I may well have seen more warnings than usual, but got no errors.

It also seems to run a bit faster. This is an UltraSPARC system, so just maybe
the Gcc optimisatiosn for this CPU are worth the recompile?

Ta,
