Hi,
I'm having trouble with gmc on my RedHat 5.2 Intel machine. I have gnome-libs 1.0.8, gnome-core
1.0.5 and mc 4.5.30. The problem occurs both with and without session management. I compiled
gnome with gcc 2.8.1, the machine otherwise being a standard RH 5.2 with updates.
gmc --nowindows creates the desktop without any problems, and I can open windows and browse them
without any trouble. The problem occurs when I click the X button on the title bar (which should
send a delete event to the mc window). I expected the particular window I had open to close;
instead gmc dumped segfaulted.
I am having difficulty working out what the problem is, because gdb only prints out addresses
for the backtrace on the core file. I think this is because it thinks that the core is created
by gmc. Isn't gmc just an CORBA frontend to the real gmc?
Anyway, I've also tried mc 4.5.30 on Solaris 2.6, and I don't have the same problem.
FWIW, I'm running E 0.15.5 as the WM. Any help would be appreciated.
Lyndon
