I am sorry, but your post offends me as a system administrator and one
who DOES know how to compile. However, it is MUCH easier to install via
RPM from a similar archecture...making sure all the libs are linked
properly, etc. SOME that are using gnome are NOT experienced enough or
may NOT want to attempt the compiles since they are not ALWAYS
successful.
I am sure we ALL realize that the "team" is working HARD. And, btw, SO
ARE WE!!! But lets not take it out on those who are actually supporting
all the effort.....THE END-USERS!!!
So please keep your offensive remarks OFF the list.
P.S. I wouldnt pay someone to MAKE RPMS for GNU software!! Kinda takes
the FREE and OPEN out of the meaning of Open Source!
