It's difficult to write a CORBA implementation from scratch, too...

There's no reason that the build machines have to be in the same location.
It's not like the IP packets get tired and stop going after the first
100 feet or something.  8^)  Seriously, the only real issue is access to
the main CVS tree, which we would probably do well to mirror anyway.
