RE: What IDE?

I have been searching for something along those lines for quite
awhile, and I've found a couple of ide's that are... useable..
and one i've decided I like.

wipe, wipe-x11 is a... decent program... its not very pretty

Nedit, is a text editor, with syntax support for a -ton- of
languages and its configureable to add more langs as you desire.

gide is an up and coming gtk ide, but as of yet, It is unuseable for
  actual use.

you have your old standby's, xxgdb, and dd for debugging..

I tried out a version of CodeForge, and was rather impressed. It was
a fairly strong program and very useable. Designed primarily for use
in a code "shop" where more than one developer would be working on it.

but my current favorite for ide's, would be Code Crusader.
i've been very impressed with its useability, and power.
combined with Code Medic, a gui interface to gdb, it provides
everything I need for C, and C++ developement.

All of these programs can be found on RedHat's FTP site, if you need
actual URL's to the homepages, and can't find them, just let me
know and I'll set you up.

Hope This helps some.

sincerely,

WIll LaShell
