ORBit compilation

I'm getting an error trying to compile ORBit fresh out of today's CVS

System is 6x86 Linux 2.1.125, prefix=/opt/gnome, gtk-type
(themes-gtk+ from today's CVS) stuff installed in /usr/local

Also, I get "compiler died with fatal signal 11" every once in a while...
don't think that's related, but I'm not that knowledgeble about  
development tools.

Any ideas or suggestions?
