Compiling gnome-core-0.30 on HP-UX; some fixes, more bugs

Installed gnome-libs after some trouble. Now working on gnome-core:

I Need libXmu.a
I found sources (without Makefile) on a mirror of ftp.redhat.com in 
/pub/windows/X/R6.3/xc/lib/Xmu   Compilied and ar'ed, seems to work.

need zlib.h (not found, yet, some previous post mentioned this, but I
can not find it anymore :-(

Need ORBit for panel!!!
Why is libgnorba turned off for gnome-libs, while ORBit is needed later anyway?
Not all mirrors have ORBit!!!
orbit can not find h_errno (fix: replace it by ``strerror(errno)'',
only one place in the entire source)

need flex... (no mention of it in README or any other file, it seems)

reconfiguring gnome-libs (now there _is_ a Makefile for libgnorba)
recompiling gnome-libs (by hand, not from the top-level)

OK, I got some binaries:
  $ gnome-session 
  SESSION_MANAGER=local/hpas2:/var/spool/sockets/ICE/984,tcp/hpas2:4526
  gmc: Command not found.
  gnome-help-browser: Command not found.  ### zlib, I guess?
  panel: Command not found.
  icewm: Command not found.

So I need to compile more! These are commented sub-directories in the
Makefile, I'll have to find out why exactly... For gnome-panel (did
not try other apps, yet) I get back from the linker:

  CORBA_ORB_resolve_initial_references (code)

  ...
even after I add -lIIOP, -lORBitutil and -llibgnorba to the
command-line (for gcc linking; a re-configure might make the adding
libs by hand unnecessary). What packages do I need more?

So close to adding HP-UX 10.20 as supported platform into the FAQ,
please help me to fix the last problems :-)
