Hi,
I just joined this list. I'm using RedHat 5.1. I installed GNOME
last month using the latest RPMs available. I think I got pretty much
everything to install correctly.
When I start GNOME, I see a process called background-properties taking
most of my CPU. Looking with DDD (no source), I see:
Program received signal SIGPIPE, Broken pipe.

I found a few requests for info on the same problem in the archive but I
couldn't find an answer. Maybe someone sent personal email replies (if
its documented elsewhere -- sorry)? Anyway, I would very much like to get
this stuff working well enough to experiment some more with the utilities.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks

PS. Great work so far!
