sound in mailcheck applet?

Would anyone (the authors of the specific applet perhaps) mind if I
added a sound notification to the mailcheck applet?

In that case, which would look better, to add a new properties page for
the sound configuration (basically just a menu to choose the sound) or
just add a menu on the same page as the animation configuration?
