You should stil lhav ea copy of zlib installed somewhere.
e.g. /usr/lib/libz.so, for example.

You're not supposed to remove that one, only /usr/X11R6/lib ...

Get zlib and insall that if you need to.

Personally I think requiring 'convert' is a bit of a pain ...
