./confidure syntax error??

Hi, i'm having serious problems building from cvs. glib and gtk+ are fine,
when trying libIDL I get wndefined macros for autoconf:

"autoconf: Undefined macros:
configure.in:12:AC_CPP_ACCEPT_IDL..."

and later in the script, I get:

"loading cache ./config.cache
./configure: line 521: syntax error near unexpected token
'AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(libIDL,'..."

anyone know what my problem is.

I won't bore you now, but I also get "can't find ./macros/autogen.sh" when
trying to compile gnome-libs"

sorry if i'm being stupid, but I can't find the answers anywhere!
