What's the value of your LANG or LANGUAGE environment variable? It
looks like the value you have set there isn't supported by your C
library. So, guessing from your email-address, you should set the
LANG environment variable to de_CH, if you prefer german or fr_CH, if
french is your native language. If this doesn't help, you should
look, if your computer has the locale files installed (on my computer,
they are installed in /usr/share/locale).
