message: unsupported type local at execution time

Hi

I've got a little problem with gnome, I don't know
wheter it's a bug in gnome or there is something wrong
with my configuration.

When working with gnome apps (gedit, ...) there
repeatedly shows up the message:
"type local not supported by clib" in the xterm
(or the term from which had been started the app).

Has it to do with my libc.so? Version: 5.xx.44
Apart of that, gnome seems to work just fine.
Any suggestions appreciated.
