combined with the transparent icon thing, all of the other widgets
repainting, and presumably other gtk apps behind it, it can get bad..

on the other hand, it's an excellent file manager. i only wish i would
have had this years ago when i was a windoze 3.x user :) ah, the days of
Norton Commander 3.0... :)
