Unless you checked in a fix that I haven't noticed, that won't do the trick.
(I checked out, re-autogen.sh'd and re compiled everything last night.)
As I think on this more, though, I think that unless you're using a version of
libtool that puts library dependencies into the library you won't see this
problem. But it may still exist... (As in -- the library could get linked
against libgtk.so-1.1 but then run in a program with libgtk.so.1 yielding
subtle errors.) You may want to check into this before gtk.1 and gtk.1.1
spread too far apart.
