Hmm, it seems that that should be enough memory, so I am not sure whats
wrong.  I just built the ORBit panel and it seems to work pretty well.
The sources for both ORBit and the ORBitified panel are in the latest CVS.
You want the ORBit module and the gnome-core module for panel.  Of course,
you also need gtk+ glib, imlib and gnome-libs, but I assume you would need
to build those anyway :).  You can use gtk+ 1.0.4 if you want, as well as
the accompanying glib.  The main branch of gtk+ in CVS is 1.1.
