It is possible to port skim under gtk. skim in fact is only a shell script
that is based on various little program that implememt the needed
functions. Also xskim is a script, developed in tcl/tk; so in fact i think
is a easy task to port skim under gtk (and we have a newsreader). After
is possible to expand the program.

I am not sure that this can be a good choice forwho have a connection via
modem to internet (and pay bill phone based on the time)
