imlib and libpng (again)

Sorry about asking this again but I have libpng instaled from rpms with
versions 1.0.1-3 and imlib says it's 1.0.2. ldconfig -v | grep libpng
says:

libpng.so.2 => libpng.so.2.1.0

so maybe it is 1.0.2 but I don't know.

I have 0.96 in rpms from RedHat 5.0 will these do?
Where can I get sources for libpng 1.0.1?
