I also encountered a similar problem. I was checking out most of the
basic packages, and all of a sudden (i think halfway through gtk+) it
started spewing lots of non alphanumerics, it did this continually, with a
few cvs messages flying by in there too. I killed it from another window,
and then restarted and grabbed everything else without a problem. I also
have 1.10.2. This happened sometime lastnight, and I am pointed at
anoncvs.gnome.org. I had never seen anything like it before, or since,
but I have not used CVS much. Also on a non-firewall ISP (unfortunetly
_I_ dont' have a cable modem, I can't convince my parents it is worth it
for the month I am home for winter break)
