Startup properties for Panel

Hey,

Good work fellas Gnome is shaping up really well!

My question is this...

My .xinitrc file looks like this :

panel &
background-properties --init &
icewm

In order for the screensaver properties to kick in I have to reselect it
in the control centre...is this right?
