bug report : panel dies

Panel dies after a little while only. Sometimes, it just freezes. 
Also, when I started it the first time with the new gnome-stable, 
the CPU/Mem applet worked fine. Then, it stopped working in the sens that evrytime I start it, it freezes the panel.
 
Envir: Redhat 5.2, gnome-stable.
