Is gtk+ performance lower now than last week?

Since a couple of days, I think that everything has started to be a lot
slower than it used to be. It looks like gtk is redrawing everything -a
lot-, like several times in a row, and when it isn't neccessary. Could
this be or am I only imagining this?

I've compiled everything the same way now as last week and it's the
latest cvs everything, make clean && make && make install. RH5.2
