Is this "work" as in "work on Linux and *BSD", or "work on lots of
Unix machines"?  

I could relatively easily compile up and try gnome-core on SPARC
Solaris 2.5.1 and report backtraces of crashes, if that would help.  I
can't spend time fixing them, but bug-reporting is easy!

Is the 1.1 branch of Gtk+ frozen too?
