Where does it say in the CORBA specs that ORB clients need to
tell the ORB how to find the initial references ?
What is the purpose of the initial references if the client has to
tell the ORB how to find them before it can access them ?
There is no need for ESP or crystal balls. Setting defaults for the
ORB initial references is a good bit easier than determining the
root of the filing system. Almost every other subsystem uses files
in /etc/ to determine its bootstrap configuration and gets its
servers going using rc files. Why should ORBit do it differently ?
