Re: Compilation Error: ORBIT_LIBS (aclocal problem).

Hi Craig,

Well, one way to deal with all that .m4 files is to make a
cp -f /usr/local/share/aclocal/*.m4 /usr/share/aclocal

About Orbit, the macros are not in the aclocal.m4 but rather
in macros/gnome-orbit-check.m4. Are you sure you made
'./autogen.sh'
in gnome-libs?
If the answer is yes, which flags did you used to get the package from cvs?

To make sure you link against the good libraries instead of the preinstalled
one, the best wayu is tio install all the gnome libs in /opt/GNOME
(using ./autogen.sh --prefix=/opt/GNOME )
and put the line '/opt/GNOME/lib' in the file /etc/ld.so.conf on the
first line. Don't forget to run 'ldconfig' between each compilation

best wishes,

	Bertrand
