Does this mean configure aborts if libgtop cannot be found ?

Oh yes, oops !

Well, configure should not abort in gnome-core if LibGTop cannot be
found - this was an error in `macros/gnome-libgtop-checks.m4', I
accidentally used `AC_MSG_ERROR' and not `AC_MSG_WARN'.

I fixed this in CVS now. Sorry.
