ee breaks off! error message

my ee used to werk suddenly today it always breas of if i click on open
file button:
error message:
ee: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/local/lib/libgtk.so.1 undefined symbol: stat
though all other gtk applications werk!
i reinstalled gtk 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 tried all possible rom, built from
scratch all please help me i want my ee to werk again:-)
