I just downloaded and tried the panel for the first time. I got a
few dozen of these messages:
** WARNING **: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path:
"netwatch-net-down.xpm" line 46
But I expected that. So I let it continue. Then the the panel
appeared! Well... I guess it was the panel. It was a light gray box with
two white circles at either end. Then I got the following message:
** WARNING **: gtk_menu_attach_to_widget(): menu already attached to
GtkMenuItem
I got this hundreds of times. Meanwhile, the panel was taking up
lots of CPU cycles, as was launcher... And my X server was growing... And
my computer was starting to lock up. I pressed Ctrl-C, and I got this
message:
** ERROR **: sigint caught
** ERROR **: sigsegv caught
(Actually, I might have type: Ctrl-\ too.) Anyway, after a few
minutes it went away and I was left with... No panel, no .gnome/panel
file, a REALLY big Xserver.
Wassup wit dat?

If you love something, write it in C; if it compiles, it is yours;
if it doesn't, it never was.
