Please provide references that anyone asked you "to stop this project". Plus afaik 'complaints' were not about an "early release cycle" but about constantly releasing tarballs after small minor changes.
Please provide references for "GNOME 4 expected to be released between 2020 - 2022 with touch enabled mobile UX and recording" as I'm afraid nobody else has heard of the information that you seem to have.
