Hi,
The model I have in mind for OSTree is that you download the refs (basically
checksums) over SSL, and then further downloads are over plain HTTP (or
bittorrent, whatever).
I can do the "hybrid SSL" work on the client easily enough, but these files
need HTTPS protection: http://ostree.gnome.org/repo/refs/
