DNS zone files are currently edited by logging into menubar.gnome.org, sudoing
to root, then changing them directly.

They should:

 - Be checked into git
 - Have commit mails get mailed to gnome-sysadmin
 - Have a pre-receive hook that checks that the serial number has been
correctly updated according to our YYYYMMDDNN policy. If this is messed up and
a number is used that is *newer* than it should be, it's a huge pain, because
we can't go back to our previous policy until that date passes, and it might be
thousands of years in the future.
 - Have a post-update hook that triggers a checkout and 'service named reload'
via fishpoll. (See /home/admin/puppet.git/hooks for an example)
