Hey guys,
We successfully got box.gnome.org up and running. It is the new machine
donated by Intel, and it's a beast!
- Xeon(TM) CPU 3.80GHz
- 4 Gigs memory
- 130G disk
- RHEL 4U3
Fantastic. Added to our server list:
http://live.gnome.org/Servers
I set it up to work with ldap. Unfortunately, I had to
modify /etc/pam.d/system_auth to get sshd working with the keys. I
changed the account line to be:
account required /lib/security/$ISA/pam_unix.so broken_shadow
with broken_shadow applied. This is the correct behavior, but it's
really unclear why it works without that on all the other machines.
[Many thanks to nalin who worked with me to figure that out!]
Thanks, guys.
So, what do we want to do with the machine. It was gotten to be a
bugzilla machine, but perhaps we should also look into putting a
tinderbox on it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Looking at the spec, I'd reckon it should comfortably take bugzilla in
it's stride and still have plenty left in reserve for a tinderbox in the
background. If there are people with the time to setup and maintain a
tinderbox on this machine, bring 'em on!
Cheers,
