Hi,
I want to suggest that the default encoding for GNOME's webserver be
changed to UTF-8. Currently text files are served as ISO-8859-1:
$ GET -e http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/platform/2.17/2.17.3/NEWS
Connection: close
Date: Wed, 06 Dec 2006 22:27:19 GMT
Accept-Ranges: bytes
ETag: "c65b5-ebe-423f69d032a80"
Server: Apache/2.2.3 (Unix)
Content-Length: 3774
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1
