Makes sense. I will adopt these recommendations from now on.
I had a complain about the build failing related to the pt-PT files but
the files validate on PoEdit and on DamnedLies.
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-calculator/commit/?id=02e983a17188ac27215333e5bf5e1d7441a684a3
I would like to avoid that situation in the future, but I am not sure I
can do anything differently to avoid it. Any ideas?
Th PO file is ok, don't worry about it.
No, the PO file is definitely *not* okay — because gnome-calculator
has been failing in the Continuous build system for the past 12 hours
even after Matthias fixed the issue with HELP_LINGUAS:
Error: Could not merge translations:
'NoneType' object has no attribute 'node'
Makefile:555: recipe for target 'pt/pt.stamp' failed
make[1]: *** [pt/pt.stamp] Error 1
Please, make sure to keep an eye on https://build.gnome.org when
pushing something to the Git repository; we have automated builds for
a fairly big subset of GNOME, but it's pointless if people don't look
at the results.
This also happened on gnome-terminal, which required reverting the
commit that added the pt translation.
